The Leadersfor Nigeria cohort started as a vision to build and develop church leadership and also to improve bible knowledge and the interpretation of scriptures through the Socrates model. This programme was sponsored by Partners International canada, in partnership with canadian local churches , who selflessly donated to this project. Adequate leadership through the knowledge of scripture is lacking in many churches today. Thus the Leadersfor project was designed to train church leaders and workers to build a more active and proactive church in their various communities.

This project was a five year training that was designed to stretch the minds of church leaders and also to test their resilience in following through the rigorous process of academics. Select church leaders were chosen to participate in this training, including TETMI missionary pastors. The selection of the Leadersfor Nigeria students/participants was not based on denomination, but on the assessment of the mental capacity of the students. In simple terms the Leadersfor Nigeria training is a church based theological training aimed at developing church leaders to be able to develop and train others. The training is aimed at raising a healthy church on earth with members who are sound doctrinally and are also in touch with their communities.

Today we are proud to say that TETMI has graduated the first set of the Leadersfor Nigeria Cohort, and have also gone on to begin other cohort all around the country. This is in line with the vision of the Leadersfor program, to get the training to the grassroot and spread the word of God to all the earth. About 20 church leader were able to go through the process to the graduation time. Today ,The Leadersfor Nigeria training, has given birth to LeadersFor Akaeze, and LeadersFor Obudu, all in Nigeria. Many more will be coming up in a couple of years, and by God's grace TETMI would be able to take this training to other parts of west Africa. The graduation ceremony took place at Graceland Camp Ground Uratta Owerri, Imo state, Nigeria after three days of review, culminating to the graduation ceremony which was held on the 11th of February 2025.
