TETMI in Conjunction with PEDEPI Sets Out On Relief And Peace Mission

In the last six months and more, tribal wars and community clashes have rocked the Akaeze people and the villages surrounding them. This has lead to over 75 percent of economic activities in those areas to be paralysed, families and individuals losing their lives, and the source of livelihood destroyed. This has plunged the already poor community dwellers into more poverty and hardship. This situation has led to many other criminal activities, property have been lost and everyone living in fear.

TETMI being a major stakeholder in the areas in partnership with other Non-profit organizations has set out on a relief distribution and peace talk in the community. TETMI in partnership and conjunction with People Development And Empowering Possibilities Initiative (PEDEPI) has mobilized their peace and conflict resolution team to see what can be done to resolve this crisis that is eating up the growth and development of all these communities. These communities are Umobor, Akaeze, In Ivo local government area, Ebonyi state, Nigeria, Mgbede , Akaeze, in Ivo local government area, Ebonyi state, Nigeria, and Uhuezoke, Okpanku, Ebonyi state, Nigeria.
This visit has been scheduled for the 19th of April 2025 and the following will be distributed; food, clothing, shoes, medical supplies, and other supplies to improve the livelihood of victims of the crisis. The president of TETMI and the Executive Director of PEDEPI will be leading the team on this mission. A proper assessment will be done to adequately ascertain the level of damage that has been done in the communities. TETMI calls on all stakeholders, and lovers of rural community development to throw in their weight in supporting and sponsoring subsequent projects of like this.
