Vocational Bible School (VBS)

The summer holiday witnessed a children camp in the village of Akaeze, Ivo local government area of Ebonyi state. The camp which was planned for 250 children ended up having over 400 children from different villages within Akaeze and Edda and Okpanku axis. There was also some children who came from Owerri to participate.

It was a great moment as the wife of TETMI President, Mrs. Chinyere Umune leads this great number of kids into the presence of God to worship and be with him for four days. These children from Akaeze and neighbouring villages/communities, if it had not been for Christ, were to be presented before the gods of the land before and after delivery. Praise God for this great moment of being in the presence of God and being presented to Him. These children were taking various bible lessons, worship songs, recitations, recreations and prayers.

For most of the children from the village, it was a great opportunity to experience having 3 square meals a day for four days. The news of this spread throughout the village which aroused the interest of more children who came and identified with the camp. Some came even without  outing clothings nor foot wears and were still welcomed. The camp witnessed the story of three kids who stays with their grandmother and within this periods they had nothing to eat.

The one who escaped and came to the camp ended up taking food from the camp home to go and share with the siblings and her grandmother. When he was noticed since he appears mostly during meals, he was encouraged to bring the siblings to camp with others so that he will not only be fed with the natural food but also spiritual food. But what happens to them after the camp was another big question .

The camp witnessed the help of children teachers from Owerri and Umuahia. It was a great time to make small and great impacts in the lives of the future inhabitants of the land.
